Portland, Maine has an amazing collection of unique and talented musicians. We wanted to showcase those artists, but didn't want to do the same 'ol boring CD complilation full of music that you could just get on the individual bands' CDs. Instead, we had each of the bands do a brand new song not available anywhere else. To boot, we put it out exclusively on a vinyl 7" record, because everyone should buy vinyl. The result is each band doing really short songs (most are around a minute long) that really capture their sound.
You'll find great metal songs from Ogre and Pigboat, amazing punk rock from the Hi-Fivin White Guys and Covered In Bees, and really out-there experimental tracks from Eggbot and The Horror. This is a slice of the Portland music scene, in under 11 minutes.
